Recently returned from a tripadeal trip to Novotel Benoa, The resort looked beautiful and had potential. It fell short in many areas.

I bought a TripaDeal experience and was looking forward to trying the Novotel in Benoa. I had not stayed in Benoa before. Overall the Novotel has the potential to be a very good hotel. We had a number of complaints re pool under repair and limited food options and the staff were happy to rectify these problems promptly which was great and I was very happy with. However there were areas that could be rectified with better staff training e.g. offering coffee, tea during breakfast, prompt clearing up of plates. In the bar there were a large number of staff but when sitting at the pool nobody ever asked if we wanted drinks, there was a poor understadning of English at the restaurant which meant that my travel companion with allergies had difficulty explaining her needs. Umbrellas were not available at reception for use when raining. The Tripadeal meal vouchers need to be reconsidered at 1st we were on a very limited menu but after complaining we were able to have the full menu - I have no understanding of why the menu was limted as the prices were very similiar. The website sais the Uluwatu restaurant was open everyday for dinner but this only happened on the Saturday so their was really only one menu we could choose our food from. As I said I was very grateful for the way our complaints were resolved but I feel we a few small tweaks this hotel could be even better.

We enjoyed our stay but had a few problems. No lift was an issue as my husband couldn’t climb stairs to second level. No pool access when we paid for a pool view. Mosquitoes were rife in our rooms unfortunately. Using Accor plus was too slow and laborious. I bought ice cream and it took over 40mins to receive bill. Generally loved the resort and the staff were excellent.
